Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to select a suitable service provider capable of delivering accredited community portable training across various skill areas. The training aims to enhance community skills through both theoretical and practical sessions, with a focus on specific trades such as tiling, electrical wiring, painting, plumbing, welding, bricklaying, steel fixing, and carpentry. The service provider must ensure comprehensive training that meets accreditation standards, includes practical tools, and adheres to the specified training matrix and schedule.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses the following:

• Provision of accredited community training in specified trades.
• Training to be conducted over a 4-week period, split equally between 2 weeks practical and 2 weeks theoretical sessions.
• Training should be both theoretical and practical, with courses grouped conveniently.
• Provision of tools necessary for practical training.
• Development and implementation of a training plan, schedule, and profiles, including learner materials with intellectual property clauses.
• Provision of proof of accreditation, relevant experience, and contactable references.
• Evaluation of proposals based on technical competence, experience, and compliance with accreditation requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service provider include:

• Proof of accreditation and registration with relevant authorities (e.g., MQA, SETA).
• Development of a detailed training plan and schedule aligned with the Alexkor RMC JV training matrix.
• Provision of training profiles, learner guides, and assessment materials with clear intellectual property clauses.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering similar accredited training, supported by contactable references.
• Submission of a signed pledge to provide community training in line with the PSJV Social Labour Plan.
• Compliance with health and safety standards during training delivery.
• Fixed rates for the entire duration of the training period, including costs for trainers, assessors, and moderators.
• Financial proposals must specify retainer fees, per-training costs for different group sizes, and personnel rates on a weekly basis.
