Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and installation of a lockable diesel storage cage that is durable, secure, well-ventilated, corrosion-resistant, and compliant with relevant safety regulations. The cage should facilitate safe storage of diesel drums or jerry cans within the Mandela Bay Theatre Complex.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of a small, lockable metal cage suitable for indoor diesel storage.
• Installation of the cage at the specified delivery address: Cnr John Kani Rd and Winston Ntshona Street, Gqeberha, 6001.
• Fitting the cage with secure locking mechanisms and clear warning signage indicating flammable contents and restricted access.
• Ensuring the cage is well-ventilated, corrosion-resistant, and positioned on a stable, non-combustible surface.
• Designing the cage to safely accommodate 1-2 standard 200-litre diesel drums or multiple 20-litre jerry cans, with appropriate spacing, ventilation, and accessibility.
• Compliance with all occupational health, safety, and fire regulations during installation.

The technical specifications for the diesel storage cage are:

• Dimensions: Length 1200mm, Width 1200mm, Height 1800mm.
• Material: Metal, durable and corrosion-resistant.
• Locking mechanism: Secure to prevent unauthorized access.
• Ventilation: Adequate to prevent build-up of fumes.
• Positioning: On a stable, non-combustible surface.
• Signage: Clear warning signs indicating flammable contents and restricted access.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:
