Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a once-off supply and delivery of boxes in specified sizes and quantities to the National Museum. The aim is to ensure the museum receives quality boxes that meet their requirements for storage and exhibition purposes, while adhering to procurement policies and promoting empowerment initiatives.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of the following boxes:
• 500 large boxes (450x32x190 mm) with double wall bottoms and separate corrugated lids, delivery to Exporama Building.
• 1000 large boxes (450x32x190 mm) with single wall bottoms and separate lids.
• 2000 medium boxes (280x210x80 mm) with single wall bottoms and separate lids, with four medium boxes fitting into one large box.
• Delivery to specified location within the stipulated timeframe.

Technical Requirements

The boxes must meet the following specifications:

• Large boxes: 450x32x190 mm, with double wall bottom and separate corrugated lid (for some quantities) or single wall bottom with separate lid.
• Medium boxes: 280x210x80 mm, single wall bottom with separate lid.
• All boxes should be of a quality suitable for storage and exhibition purposes, with no full lids, only separate lids as specified.
• Boxes must be delivered in good condition, matching the attached photos where provided.

Skills and Requirements

Bidder must:

• Attach valid CIPC registration documents.
• Provide a cost-inclusive quotation, including VAT if applicable.
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements, with a grace period of at least 7 days for non-compliance.
• Submit proof of claims for preferential criteria such as B-BBEE status, local ownership, youth, women, and disability ownership, where applicable.
• Adhere to the evaluation criteria, including price and preferential points based on empowerment and local participation goals.
