Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to deliver physical security access control services at multiple sites within the North West Parks & Tourism Board's jurisdiction. The services aim to enhance security measures across various nature reserves and related facilities for a period of three (03) years.

Scope

The scope encompasses providing security access control services at the following locations:

• Pilanesberg Nature Reserve
• Rustenburg Visitors Information Centre (VIC)
• Vaalkopdam Nature Reserve
• Kgaswane Nature Reserve

Additional sites include:

• Heritage House (Mafikeng)
• Mafikeng Hotel School
• Botsholwana Nature Reserve
• Madikwe Nature Reserve
• Molimane Nature Reserve
• Baberspan Nature Reserve
• Taung Hotel School
• Molopo Nature Reserve
• S.A. Lomnard Nature Reserve
• Bojanala District sites including Borakalalo and Kgaswane Nature Reserves
• Boskoppdam, Bloemhof, and Wolvespoint Nature Reserves

The services are to be delivered over a three-year period, with specific requirements for security personnel, equipment, and operational procedures as detailed in the bid documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of physical security access control systems and personnel
• Compliance with all relevant security standards and regulations
• Proof of registration with relevant regulatory bodies and security councils
• Provision of valid Psira certificates for the company and security personnel
• Security clearance certificates for all security guards
• Firearm competence certificates for security guards where applicable
• Implementation of security protocols, including access control procedures
• Provision of necessary security equipment and infrastructure
• Adherence to health and safety standards

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in providing security access control services, particularly in similar environments
• Capability to supply trained and certified security personnel
• Ability to manage and operate security systems effectively
• Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to security services
• Capacity to provide proof of relevant certifications, registrations, and references
• Understanding of the specific security needs of nature reserves and public facilities
