Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a short course/training program in Managing Construction and Safety (Unit Standard IC1) at NQF Level 4. The training aims to equip officials with the necessary skills to manage construction activities safely, including hazard identification, impact assessment, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigation.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of a 10-day face-to-face training course for 10 officials in Pretoria.
• Course content covering hazards, impacts, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigations.
• Assessment and certification of delegates upon completion.
• Provision of training venue and catering services for the duration of the course.
• Delivery of training in accordance with the specified unit standard and accreditation requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Submission of valid accreditation or certification from a recognized accreditation body to offer Unit Standard IC1 – Managing Construction Safely on NQF Level 4.
• Assessment of delegates to determine competency, with a certificate of competency issued upon successful assessment; a certificate of attendance if assessment is not completed.
• Provision of a training venue in Pretoria, inclusive of catering (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, including halal options).
• All costs, including delivery, taxes, VAT, and levies, must be included in the quotation.
• Adherence to mandatory accreditation and certification submission requirements.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in delivering construction safety training aligned with NQF Level 4 standards.
• Accreditation from a recognized accreditation body for the specific unit standard.
• Ability to assess delegates and issue valid certificates of competency or attendance.
• Capacity to organize and deliver face-to-face training in Pretoria, including venue and catering arrangements.
• Compliance with all mandatory requirements, including submission of valid accreditation certificates, tax compliance, and relevant documentation.
