Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to facilitate the sale, purchase, capture, removal, and relocation of excess game from the Nkomazi Local Municipality Marloth Park Nature Reserve. The process aims to support ecological restoration efforts within Marloth Park during the 2026 game capture season by managing surplus wildlife populations responsibly and in accordance with relevant legislation.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Purchasing excess game from the Municipality at tendered rates.
• Planning and executing game capture operations.
• Provision of equipment, vehicles, capture teams, and veterinary support as needed.
• Loading, transportation, and relocation of animals.
• Obtaining all necessary permits, approvals, and movement documentation from conservation authorities.
• Ensuring compliance with wildlife, veterinary, environmental, occupational health and safety, and animal welfare legislation.

The estimated quantities of game to be disposed are giraffe (10), zebra (40), blue wildebeest (20), kudu (150), impala (600), bushbucks (200), and warthog (150). These figures are estimates and may vary based on final game counts and operational considerations.

Technical Requirements

The successful bidder must:

• Purchase game at accepted tender rates.
• Plan and execute capture operations efficiently and humanely.
• Provide all necessary equipment, vehicles, and capture teams.
• Coordinate veterinary support where required.
• Handle loading, transportation, and relocation of animals safely.
• Secure all permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
