Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit qualified service providers for the supply and delivery of fire and rescue services uniforms and related accessories to the Central Karoo District Municipality. The aim is to ensure the procurement of quality, compliant, and appropriately branded uniforms and equipment to support firefighting personnel in their duties.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of a comprehensive range of firefighting uniforms, footwear, accessories, and related apparel as specified in the detailed technical requirements. This includes:

• Supply of various uniform items such as belts, caps, shirts, jackets, trousers, tunics, and accessories like badges, shields, and lanyards.
• Provision of footwear, including steel toe boots and parade shoes.
• Customization with logos, badges, and insignia as per specifications.
• Delivery to the Central Karoo District Municipality at specified locations within the stipulated timeframes.
• Compliance with technical standards, branding, and safety specifications outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications detailed in the tender include, but are not limited to:

• Uniform items must conform to SANS standards and carry the appropriate SANS marks of conformance.
• All garments and accessories must be embroidered or printed with specified logos, badges, and insignia, with precise dimensions and placement as per annexures.
• Uniform components such as:
• Belts with buckle size 5.5cm x 5.5cm
• Caps with embroidered badges and municipal branding
• Shirts (short and long sleeve) with chest shields measuring 8.4cm x 5.6cm
• Jackets, blazers, and tunics with specified embroidery and badge placements
• Pants with triple stitching, deep pockets, and specific fabric composition (50% cotton, 50% polyester)
• Footwear compliant with safety standards, slip resistance, and impact load requirements
• Accessories such as lanyards, badges, and reflective jackets with specified dimensions and embroidery
• All items must be delivered within the specified delivery schedule, with proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with B-BBEE, municipal rates, and taxes, along with registration on the Central Supplier Database.
• Pricing must be inclusive of VAT, and all items must meet the detailed specifications provided in annexures.
