Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure security, patrol, and access control services at the Die Dam and Uilenkraalsmond Resorts of the Overberg District Municipality for the period 1 – 31 July 2026. The services aim to ensure the safety and security of the resort facilities through qualified security personnel providing day and night shifts, including patrol and access control functions.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of 2 Grade C security officers for day shift security, patrol, and access control at each resort from 07:00 to 19:00, including Public Holidays.
• Provision of 2 Grade C security officers for night shift security, patrol, and access control at each resort from 19:00 to 07:00, including Public Holidays.
• Security, patrol, and access control services to be rendered at the specified facilities and times.
• Security officers must be PSIRA registered, and proof of registration must accompany the bid.
• The service provider must ensure guards are paid at or above PSIRA salary rates and submit proof of a Public Liability Insurance Policy of at least R5 million.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of qualified Grade C security officers registered with PSIRA.
• Security officers must be equipped to perform patrols, access control, and security functions at the resorts.
• The service provider must submit proof of PSIRA registration, insurance, and relevant experience.
• Experience of the bidder and key security personnel must be demonstrated, with a minimum of 1 year for the business and specific experience for project managers.
• Adherence to PSIRA salary standards and submission of relevant certificates and proof of compliance.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• PSIRA registration for all security officers.
• Security officers must possess a Grade C security certificate and Grade 10 security training certification.
• Experience in security services, with at least 1 year for the business and specific experience for project managers.
• Ability to perform patrols, access control, and respond to security incidents effectively.
• Provision of professional and reliable security services, with proven track record through references and previous experience.
