Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider to perform servicing, repairs, and supply of various civil equipment at Bram Fischer International Airport, managed by Airports Company South Africa (ACSA). The scope includes major servicing, repairs, and supply of equipment such as lawn mowers, brush cutters, blowers, chain saws, tampers, sprayers, rotary slashers, generators, pumps, and other related civil equipment to ensure their optimal operation and maintenance.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Major servicing and repairs of specific equipment including Husqvarna lawn tractors, brush cutters, blowers, chain saws, tampers, sprayers, rotary slashers, portable generators, pumps, and other machinery.
• Supply and delivery of spare parts such as blades, bearings, bolts, nuts, and oils.
• Installation of water hoses and safety permits related to equipment operation.
• Provision of safety documentation, permits, and airside safety induction.

The service provider must perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and supply necessary components to ensure continuous operational readiness of the civil equipment at the airport.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Completion of major servicing and repairs as specified for each equipment type.
• Supply and replacement of blades, bearings, and other consumables with specified dimensions.
• Provision of water hoses, safety permits, and airside safety induction.
• Adherence to safety standards, including PPE and safety documentation.
• Compliance with security vetting and confidentiality protocols.
• Provision of detailed maintenance reports and documentation for each service performed.

Skills Requirements

The skills required for bidders include:

• Technical expertise in servicing and repairing horticultural and civil equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, blowers, tampers, sprayers, rotary slashers, generators, and pumps.
• Experience in handling equipment maintenance in an airport or similar high-security environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, PPE usage, and airside safety procedures.
• Ability to supply and manage spare parts and consumables efficiently.
• Competence in preparing maintenance documentation, reports, and compliance certificates.
• Capability to coordinate site inspections, safety inductions, and permit applications.
