Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable service provider for the Short Term Insurance Portfolio for Nama Khoi Local Municipality. The aim is to ensure effective management and coverage of the municipality's short-term insurance needs, adhering to specified requirements and standards.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes providing short-term insurance services for the municipality, which encompasses risk assessment, policy management, claims handling, and related insurance services as detailed in the tender documentation. The selected service provider will be responsible for delivering comprehensive insurance solutions aligned with the municipality's requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Submission of reference letters demonstrating experience in similar scope of work (minimum 3 references).
• Provision of certified CVs, qualifications, and experience of key personnel involved.
• Development of a methodology and framework for service delivery, rated on a scale from Poor to Excellent.
• Minimum functionality score of 70 out of 100 points to qualify for further evaluation.
• Adherence to tender submission rules, including sealed envelopes and proper endorsement.
• Availability of tender documents and payment of non-refundable fee of R689.44.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in insurance services, evidenced by reference letters and years of relevant experience (minimum 1 year, with preference for over 10 years).
• Qualified personnel with appropriate certifications and experience in insurance and risk management.
• Ability to develop and implement effective methodologies and frameworks for insurance service delivery.
• Knowledge of tender procedures and compliance with municipal and national procurement policies.
