Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply latex gloves that meet specified quality standards, including powder-free, natural latex material, and a thickness of 0.6mm, with a break-through time exceeding 480 minutes. The tender also aims to promote supplier diversity by encouraging ownership by historically disadvantaged groups such as Black People, Women, and People with Disabilities, through the allocation of preference points.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of three types of latex gloves:

• Medium size, powder-free, adhering to specified specifications, 50 gloves per box, 10 boxes per order
• Large size, powder-free, adhering to specified specifications, 50 gloves per box, 10 boxes per order
• Extra Large size, powder-free, adhering to specified specifications, 50 gloves per box, 10 boxes per order

Delivery is required to the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries at the Foreshore, Cape Town, with a specified delivery timeline. All costs, including taxes and delivery charges, must be included in the bid.

• Attach product specification sheet with the quotation
• All delivery costs and applicable taxes, including VAT, must be included in the bid price
• Goods must not be delivered before official order confirmation

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Suppliers must submit a valid quotation on their company letterhead, including banking details and CSD registration number
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with mandatory requirements such as a valid Food Premises Certificate issued by the Municipality in the company's name
• For preference points, suppliers must submit ownership certificates issued by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), and relevant registration reports
• Suppliers must complete and sign the required forms, including SBD4, SBD6.1, and the Preference Points Claim Form
• Suppliers should demonstrate capacity to deliver within the specified timelines and comply with tax legislation including VAT and income tax regulations
• Ability to provide quality products that meet technical specifications and adhere to health and safety standards
