The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply, delivery, and offloading of various water and wastewater treatment chemicals, including disinfectants, coagulants, pH adjusters, and related products, to ensure effective water treatment processes within Stellenbosch Municipality. The chemicals are intended for use in maintaining water quality standards, controlling odours, preventing pipe blockages, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
The scope encompasses the procurement of a comprehensive range of chemicals such as aluminium sulphate, sodium aluminate, ferric chloride, activated carbon (powdered and granular), hydrated lime, citric acid, disinfectants, and other related products. The contract covers the supply, delivery, offloading, and associated logistics to multiple water and wastewater treatment plants within the municipality, including specific facilities like Paradyskloof, Franschhoek, Wemmershoek, and others. The tender also includes the provision of safety audits, quality assurance, and technical support for the duration of the contract from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
