Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver VHF/UHF antennas on an as-and-when-required basis over a period of five years. The aim is to ensure the timely procurement of quality antennas to meet operational needs, adhering to Eskom’s standards and safety requirements.

Scope of Work

The scope involves the supply and delivery of VHF and UHF antennas as specified by Eskom, on an as-needed basis, throughout the five-year contract period. Specific details of the scope are to be provided by the tenderer in their submission.

Technical Requirements

• Compliance with Eskom’s OHS legal and other requirements, including signing acknowledgment forms.
• Provision of a Baseline OHS Risk Assessment (BRA) with methodology and management plan.
• Submission of an OHS plan addressing project-specific risks aligned with health and safety specifications.
• Valid Letter of Good Standing (COIDA or equivalent).
• Signed OHS policy in accordance with the OHS Act Section 7.
• Adherence to Eskom’s quality standards, including ISO 9001 requirements.
• Capability to monitor and manage contractors’ OHS compliance through audits and assessments.
• Provision of necessary documentation and references demonstrating compliance and previous experience.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Understanding of Eskom’s OHS legal and safety standards.
• Ability to conduct and document risk assessments and develop OHS plans.
• Experience in managing supply chains and contractors’ OHS compliance.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001 standards.
• Capability to perform audits, assessments, and monitor ongoing compliance.
• Effective communication skills for signing, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Competence in maintaining safety and quality documentation and reports.
