The primary objective is to procure and deliver four (04) standard-issue laptops to the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality. The procurement aims to secure reliable, cost-effective computing equipment while complying with national preferential procurement legislation that promotes socio-economic transformation, local economic participation, and transparent supply chain practices.
The contract encompasses the complete supply, transportation, and handover of four laptops to the municipality's designated facility. The scope includes all associated costs, such as value-added tax (VAT), freight, insurance, handling, and general contractual risks. Bids must remain valid for ninety (90) days following the closing date. Strict delivery deadlines apply, with financial penalties imposed for late performance. Upon award, the successful bidder must execute a formal written contract (MBD 7.1), with payment typically processed within thirty days of receiving a valid invoice and delivery note.
This tender involves the supply of off-the-shelf IT hardware rather than complex service delivery or custom manufacturing. Consequently, no specialized technical installation, software configuration, or long-term maintenance expertise is required. Suppliers must demonstrate logistical competence to source, transport, and deliver the specified laptops within the stipulated timeframe. Basic proficiency in municipal procurement compliance, accurate documentation submission, and contract administration is expected.

Most large tenders are composed of tasks in a number of different fields, and it is not always possible for a single company to cater for all of them, and therefore Joint Ventures and Consortia are formed to then submit a tender together.
Government tenders are also requiring the subcontracting of a percentage of the tender work, and the trouble is then finding Subcontractors to comply with the tender requirements
To assist companies with finding tender partners and subcontractors, you can now submit your contact details and company information on this page, so other interested parties can contact you for purposes of forming Joint Ventures and subcontracting
