Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of alternative energy (paraffin) for Cluster 2 within Sakhisizwe Local Municipality. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing the specified quantities of paraffin across designated wards and areas, ensuring timely delivery over a contract period of 10 months, and supporting the municipality's energy needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Supply and delivery of paraffin to various wards within the municipality, including specified pick-up points and households.
• Delivery to multiple designated areas with detailed routes and distances.
• Installation of security fencing (if applicable) and related infrastructure.
• Provision of related services such as transportation, handling, and documentation.
• Contract duration of 10 months, covering the entire delivery period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of paraffin that meets safety and quality standards specified in the tender documentation.
• Delivery to multiple wards with specified quantities and within set timeframes.
• Proper packing and labeling to prevent damage during transit.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provision of necessary documentation, including delivery notes and certificates.

Skills and Experience Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Previous experience in supplying and delivering energy products, particularly paraffin or similar fuels.
• Successful completion of similar projects within the last five years, with contactable references and contract values.
• Capacity to handle logistics and transportation over the specified distances.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to energy supply and handling.
• Ability to provide technical support and documentation as required.
• Compliance with tax and supply chain management regulations, including submission of tax clearance certificates and BBBEE certificates.
