Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of blankets, foam mattresses, and roof plastic sheets to Ray Nkonyeni Municipality for a period of three years. The aim is to ensure the provision of essential bedding and roofing materials to support public safety and service delivery within the municipality.

The scope includes the supply and delivery of:

• Blankets (length: 2.2m, width: 1.8m, microfibre wool, packaged in plastic carry case)
• Foam mattresses (length: 1.88m, width: 1.07m, thickness: 10cm, weight: 3kg, cloth covering, enclosed in clear plastic)
• Roof plastic sheets (builders' quality)

The delivery will be across various designated points within Ray Nkonyeni Municipality over a three-year period, with price escalation based on CPI annually.

The technical specifications for the items are as follows:

• Foam Mattress: Length – 1.88m, Width – 1.07m, Thickness – 10cm, Weight – 3kg, Cloth covering, packaged in plastic.
• Blankets: Length – 2.2m, Width – 1.8m, Microfibre wool on both sides, weight – 3kg, packaged in plastic carry case.

Price escalation will be annually based on the average CPI of each completed year of the tender period.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Ability to supply quality goods meeting the specified technical standards.

• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timelines and handle multiple delivery points.
• Adherence to the bidding procedures, including submission of all required forms and documentation.

Additionally, bidders should have personnel skilled in logistics, quality assurance, and compliance with contractual obligations to ensure timely and quality delivery of goods.
