Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from qualified service providers for the supply and delivery of First Aid Bags/Kits with contents, Emergency Roadside Kits, Basic Life Support Jump Bags, First Aid Regulation Kits, and related first aid equipment to the Overberg District Municipality’s head office in Bredasdorp.

The aim is to ensure the municipality is equipped with compliant, high-quality first aid supplies that meet safety standards, are easy to use, and are suitable for various operational environments within the municipality, including offices, fleet, and fire trucks.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of:

• Four Emergency Roadside Kit/Bags, each with specified contents such as CPR mouthpieces, gauze, gloves, jump cables, bandages, wound cleaners, and optional Burnshield dressings.
• Ten Basic Life Support Jump Bags, manufactured from high-quality nylon, with specified contents including burn dressings, first aid boxes, bandages, dressings, splints, CPR mouthpieces, and manuals.
• Fifteen First Aid Regulation 3 Kits, contained in portable plastic toolboxes, with specified contents similar to the above kits, designed for easy use and compliance with safety standards.

All kits must be supplied with the specified contents, properly labeled, organized, and compliant with safety and health regulations. The supplies should be suitable for office, fleet, and emergency use across the municipality.

Technical Requirements

• Supplies must meet the detailed specifications outlined for each kit, including specific items, quantities, and quality standards.
• All first aid kits must be easy to use, with clear labeling and organized compartments for quick access during emergencies.
• Suppliers must provide products that are regularly updated to comply with current safety regulations.
• Items must be portable, durable, and suitable for use in office environments, municipal fleet, and fire trucks.
• Suppliers are subject to inspection to verify the quality and standard of delivered materials before award.
• All products must be supplied with appropriate manuals, instructions, and documentation for proper use and maintenance.

Skills and Capabilities Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying first aid and safety equipment, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant supply experience (preferably more than 2 years).
• Ability to provide references and evidence of similar projects undertaken successfully.
• Capability to deliver high-quality, compliant first aid kits within specified timeframes.
• Knowledge of safety standards, health regulations, and compliance requirements related to first aid supplies.
• Capacity to perform quality inspections and ensure products meet the specified standards prior to delivery.
• Strong logistical and supply chain management skills to ensure timely delivery across multiple locations.
• Ability to provide technical support, manuals, and training if required.
