The primary objective of the tender is to procure the supply and delivery of frozen goods to Eskom. The system aims to facilitate the electronic submission, management, and tracking of tender documents, replacing manual and physical submission processes to streamline procurement activities and enhance efficiency.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of a web-based eTendering system for suppliers to upload and submit tender documents electronically.
• Registration of suppliers with verification via OTP sent to email and mobile phones.
• Functionality for suppliers to view published tenders, submit new tenders, and manage their submissions.
• Support for adding closed tenders, which are sent privately to selected suppliers.
• Features for editing registration details, resetting passwords, and logging out.
• Notification system via email confirming submissions and password resets.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• A secure, web-based eTendering platform accessible via most modern web browsers, with a recommendation for Microsoft Edge.
• Secure registration process involving OTP verification via email and mobile phone.
• Upload functionality supporting multiple files with a maximum individual size of 50MB and total upload size not exceeding 900MB.
• System capable of handling multiple tender categories, including technical, financial, and other documentation.
• Automated email notifications for submission confirmation, registration verification, and password resets.
• Ability to view and manage submitted tenders and documents.

Skills Requirements

The skills required for the tender include:

• Proficiency in web-based application management and support.
• Knowledge of secure online registration and OTP verification processes.
• Experience with document upload and management systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system access issues, including password resets and registration edits.
