Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of landscaping equipment to Bergrivier Municipality. The contract will be in effect from the date of appointment until 30 June 2026, aiming to support municipal landscaping and maintenance activities with suitable equipment.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of various landscaping tools and machinery as specified in the technical specifications. The supply and delivery must be completed to the Bergrivier Municipality's stores in Piketberg, with the equipment being suitable for professional and commercial use. The contract covers the procurement of multiple items such as chainsaws, hedge trimmers, pole pruners, brush cutters, leaf blowers, sod cutters, and other landscaping machinery, along with associated incidental services, warranties, and spare parts as detailed in the specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of new, unused, and current models of specified landscaping equipment.
• Equipment must meet detailed specifications including engine power, size, and functionality (e.g., petrol engines between 8HP/9HP, adjustable wheels, etc.).
• All prices must include delivery to Piketberg stores and VAT.
• Suppliers must provide detailed brochures, machine specifications, and ensure equipment is fit for professional use.
• Suppliers must comply with inspection, testing, and quality assurance processes as specified.
• Items must be delivered within the stipulated timeframe, with penalties for delays.
• Suppliers must provide warranties of at least 12 months for defective goods.
• Pricing must be fixed and inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Competence and experience in supplying landscaping equipment, demonstrated through at least three contactable references of similar successful deliveries within the last five years.
• Registration on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD) with valid registration number (MAAA number).
• Submission of a valid Tax Clearance Certificate or Tax Compliance Status (TCS) Pin.
• Provision of a B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or sworn affidavit to qualify for preference points.
• Completion of all mandatory forms including the Preference Points Claim Form (MBD 6.1), Declaration of Supply Chain Management Practices (MBD 8), and Certificate of Independent Proposal (MBD 9).
• Adherence to the supply chain management policies and legislation, including anti-collusion and conflict of interest declarations.
• Ability to deliver within the specified timeframe and meet technical specifications as evidenced by previous similar projects.
