Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver one (1) seven-seater vehicle to Kouga Local Municipality, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Scope

The scope of this tender includes:

• Provision of a seven-seater vehicle that complies with detailed technical specifications outlined in the tender documents.
• Supply and delivery of the vehicle to the Kouga Local Municipality at the designated location (16 Woltemade Street, Jeffrey’s Bay, Room 122).
• Inclusion of all associated costs such as registration, licensing, and on-road costs.
• Provision of necessary documentation, warranties, and maintenance support as specified.

Technical Requirements

The vehicle must meet the following technical specifications:

• Type and Model: Seven-seater vehicle, with detailed data sheet and brochure supporting specifications.
• Dimensions: Overall length not less than 4,560 mm, width not less than 1,800 mm, height not more than 1,710 mm, wheelbase not less than 2,760 mm.
• Engine: Diesel, displacement not less than 1493 cc, turbocharged CRDI fuel system, max power not less than 84.6 kW at 400 rpm, 16 valves, four cylinders, aluminium cylinder head.
• Transmission: 6-speed automatic, 2WD drive type, torque converter clutch.
• Fuel Consumption: Not more than 6 L/100 km (combined cycle).
• Emissions: CO2 emissions not exceeding 159 g/km.
• Suspension, Steering, Wheels & Tyres, Brakes, Weight, and Styling features: As detailed in specifications, including alloy wheels, electric side mirror adjustment, front ventilated disc brakes, and safety features such as airbags, alarm, immobilizer, and air conditioning.
• Warranty & Maintenance: 5-year/150,000 km warranty, 7-year roadside assistance, 3-year/45,000 km service plan, with service intervals not exceeding 15,000 km.
• Security & Safety: Airbags, transponder immobilizer, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution, and other specified safety features.

Skills and Other Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Registration as a licensed dealership with proof of registration with the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) and Motor Industry Bargaining Council (MIBCO).
• Provision of proof of a valid maintenance workshop within Kouga municipal boundaries for vehicle repairs and servicing.
• Submission of a comprehensive service plan and supporting documentation for vehicle maintenance and warranty support.
• Compliance with B-BBEE requirements, including submission of relevant certificates or sworn affidavits.
• Ability to meet delivery lead times (not exceeding 7 working days from order date).
• Provision of supporting documentation such as brochures, detailed data sheets, and proof of vehicle specifications.
• Familiarity with municipal procurement procedures, including submission of all required documentation in the prescribed format.
