Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider for the supply and delivery of pre-school materials to Ingquza Hill Local Municipality. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing quality educational materials to support early childhood development in pre-schools within the municipality.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of various pre-school educational materials such as puzzles, paints, coloring books, first aid kits, toys, stationery, and other related items as specified in the technical requirements. The delivery must be made to the designated municipal offices in Flagstaff within the stipulated timeframe.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of specified educational materials including wooden puzzles, paints, coloring books, first aid kits, toys, tissues, copy paper, dolls, dustbins, buckets, playmats, hand sanitizers, Prestik, paraffin heaters, and other items listed in the specification schedule.
• All items must meet the quality standards specified, with sizes and descriptions as detailed in the tender documentation.
• Items must be delivered in sealed packaging, properly marked, and accompanied by all necessary documentation.
• Delivery must be completed within the agreed timeframe, with adherence to the municipality’s delivery and inspection procedures.
• Pricing must be firm and inclusive of all costs, taxes, and levies.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying educational materials or similar goods, supported by client reference letters and project completion certificates.
• Ability to promote local enterprises, with at least 70% local content, supported by relevant proof and certification.
• Availability of own transport or leasing arrangements to ensure timely delivery, with proof of vehicle ownership or lease agreements.
• Detailed methodology and capability to execute the project, including a comprehensive implementation plan with clear timeframes.
• Demonstrated capacity to meet the technical specifications and quality standards required for the educational materials.
• Compliance with tax and legal requirements, including submission of valid tax clearance certificates and BBBEE certificates.
