Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified and experienced service provider for the supply and delivery of protective uniforms for Traffic, Law Enforcement, and Fire Officials of Bergrivier Municipality. The contract duration is from the date of appointment until 30 June 2029, ensuring the provision of appropriate protective gear to support municipal officials in their duties.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a comprehensive range of protective uniforms and related accessories for officials over a period of three years. This includes various clothing items such as shoes, trousers, shirts, jackets, gloves, hats, and other protective gear, as detailed in the specifications. The contract covers all necessary sizes, styles, and specifications required for Traffic, Law Enforcement, and Fire Officers within the municipality.

Additionally, the scope involves providing plant and equipment, subcontractors, and work experience details as part of the tender submission, ensuring a complete and compliant offering for the duration of the contract.

Technical Requirements

• Compliance with detailed specifications for each uniform item, including material quality, design, and durability.
• Provision of a variety of clothing sizes and styles suitable for Traffic, Fire, and Law Enforcement personnel.
• Items such as shoes, shirts, trousers, jackets, gloves, hats, and reflective vests must meet specified standards for safety, waterproofing, breathability, and functionality.
• Inclusion of accessories like epaulettes, name tags, ties, and badges with specified embroidery and reflective features.
• Provision of uniforms with features such as waterproofing, breathability, and suitability for various weather conditions.
• Adherence to the specified quality, design, and safety standards as per the detailed specifications document.
• Supply of plant, equipment, and subcontractors as detailed in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and manufacturing protective uniforms and gear for law enforcement, fire, and traffic officials.
• Ability to meet detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
• Capacity to provide a wide range of sizes and styles, including custom embroidery and reflective features.
• Demonstrated capability to manage large-scale procurement, logistics, and timely delivery over a multi-year contract.
• Knowledge of safety standards, waterproofing, and durability requirements for protective clothing.
• Experience in working with government or municipal entities and understanding of procurement procedures.
• Ability to provide references of similar projects completed within the past five years.
