Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver pumps to various Eskom Peaking Power Stations on an “as and when required” basis over a period of 5 years. The aim is to ensure the availability of standard commercial pumps that meet Eskom specifications, safety, and regulatory standards for maintenance and operational needs.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of a range of pumps as detailed in the scope of work and specifications, including gear pumps, centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, piston pumps, and associated accessories.
• Supply and delivery of pumps to multiple Eskom Peaking Power Stations, with specific delivery locations and schedules as per purchase orders.
• Manufacturing, handling, packaging, and transportation in accordance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards, including Incoterms DAP.
• Inspection, testing, and quality assurance prior to delivery.
• Provision of related documentation such as test results, manuals, and certificates of conformance.
• Management of changes, including deviations, amendments, and contract modifications.
• Adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during supply and delivery.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• All goods must conform to Eskom standards, industry standards, safety data sheets, and regulatory requirements.
• Supply must comply with INCOTERMS 2020 DAP, with responsibilities for export/import formalities clearly allocated.
• Pumps must be suitable for maintenance and operational use at Eskom stations, with appropriate packaging, marking, and documentation.
• Delivery times are specified: 09:00 to 15:00 Monday to Thursday, and 09:00 to 11:30 on Fridays.
• All equipment must be securely packaged, marked, and accompanied by delivery notes and certificates of conformance.
• Suppliers must maintain ISO 9001 (or equivalent) quality management systems and ensure quality assurance through inspection and testing.
• All safety, health, and environmental regulations must be strictly followed, including compliance with Eskom SHE specifications and relevant legislation.
• Insurance requirements are specified, with certificates to be provided upon request.
