Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver spares, as well as refurbish Outside Plant Mechanical Pulleys and Coal Plant Rotatory Arm Feeders at Matla Power Station. The procurement is on an “as and when required” basis, with a contract period of five years, aiming to ensure continuous operational support and maintenance for the specified equipment.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of spare parts and components for outside plant mechanical pulleys and rotatory arm feeders.
• Refurbishment and repair services for existing mechanical pulleys and feeders.
• Delivery of these spares and refurbishment services on an “as and when required” basis over a five-year period.

The scope is limited to activities at Matla Power Station, covering procurement, delivery, and refurbishment services necessary for the specified equipment.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Supply of genuine or approved spare parts compatible with existing equipment.
• Refurbishment of mechanical pulleys and rotatory arm feeders to meet operational standards.
• Adherence to Eskom’s specifications and quality standards for all supplied and refurbished components.
• Timely delivery to ensure minimal downtime and operational continuity.
• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during refurbishment and delivery processes.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required for tenderers include:

• Technical expertise in mechanical engineering, specifically in pulley systems and rotatory feeders.
