Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver various non-stock materials at Lethabo Power Station over a period of 5 years, as and when required. The aim is to ensure a reliable supply chain for non-stock materials to support power station operations and maintenance.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various non-stock materials to Lethabo Power Station for a duration of 5 years. The materials may include items such as fasteners, coils, and designated components, with specific requirements for local content, imported content, and compliance with technical standards. The tender also covers related contractual, quality, environmental, and social responsibility aspects as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

• Materials must meet the specifications outlined in the tender, including quality assurance standards (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 10005, ISO 10006, ISO 10007, ISO 31000, ISO 14001).
• Materials must comply with local and imported content declarations, with specific thresholds for local content (e.g., steel, fasteners).
• Materials must be delivered within specified lead times, with supporting datasheets and manufacturing quality management plans.
• Materials must be catalogued and labelled according to Eskom’s labelling specifications.
• Suppliers must provide evidence of compliance with environmental regulations (ISO 14001) and safety standards (ISO 9001 series, ISO 31000).
• Contract price adjustments (CPA) may apply for contracts longer than 12 months, with formulas based on published indices.
• Suppliers must submit all required documentation, including CSD registration, tax compliance, CIDB grading, and contractual compliance evidence.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven track record and experience in supplying similar non-stock materials to power stations or industrial facilities.
• Manufacturing or distribution agreements demonstrating capability to supply the specified materials.
• Quality assurance capabilities, including submission of datasheets, quality management plans, and inspection reports.
• Compliance with environmental and safety standards, with evidence such as ISO certifications.
• Financial viability demonstrated through audited financial statements for the past 18 months or relevant financial analysis.
• Ability to meet delivery lead times and catalogue materials as per Eskom’s labelling and documentation requirements.
• Capacity to comply with local content and import content declarations, including supporting documentation.
• Knowledge of Eskom’s procurement and contractual processes, including eTendering procedures and contractual obligations.
