The primary objective is to replace aging computing infrastructure (exceeding ten years old) within Denel Landward’s Engineering Department. The new equipment must efficiently process simulation data and large CAD models while maintaining full compatibility with modern engineering software suites, including Creo, Windchill, Ansys, and Abaqus. This procurement aims to eliminate performance bottlenecks, ensure seamless operation of upgraded software, and enhance overall engineering productivity and reliability.
The tender covers the supply, delivery, and warranty provision of 22 high-performance computing units and 15 external monitors. Deliverables are divided into three workstation tiers based on memory capacity, standard office monitors, and mobile workstations. All items must be delivered to designated company sites at fixed, all-inclusive prices quoted in South African Rand. The contract mandates a minimum three-year professional support warranty for every hardware unit supplied.
