Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a reliable, fit-for-purpose rough terrain mobile crane with a capacity of 51 tons or equivalent, to support Alkantpan Test Range's operational testing and evaluation activities. The crane aims to enhance operational capability, safety, and efficiency in handling, transporting, and positioning heavy equipment across dispersed and challenging terrains within the range.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of a hydraulic rough terrain mobile crane capable of lifting 51 tons, along with specified additional extras such as anemometer, reversing camera, reversing radar, inflator, slew buzzer, and a 24-month warranty. The crane will be delivered to the Alkantpan Test Range in Copperton, Northern Cape, with the period for commencement, delivery, and completion to be specified by the bidder. The scope also encompasses compliance with technical specifications, mandatory documentation, and adherence to procurement procedures.

Skills and Compliance Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Compliance with technical specifications through brochures or technical documentation.
• Provision of all mandatory documentation including bid conditions acceptance, BBBEE proof, disclosure forms, and registration reports.
• Adherence to procurement procedures, including submission of hard copies only, registration on the Central Supplier Database, and compliance with Armscor’s security and contractual conditions.
• Capability to deliver within the specified timeframe and to meet all technical and safety standards.
• Knowledge of and compliance with relevant legislation, including arms control, tax, and industrial participation requirements.
• Experience in supplying similar heavy-duty mobile cranes and ability to provide technical support and warranty services.
