Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified suppliers for the supply and delivery of textbooks, lecturer guides, occupational qualifications, occupational part qualifications, and skills programmes learning materials to South Cape TVET College over a period of three (3) years. The aim is to ensure reliable, timely delivery of quality learning materials that meet curriculum standards and accreditation requirements, supporting the college’s mandate of skills development, employment, and higher education.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Appointment of a panel of accredited suppliers for the delivery of:
• Textbooks
• Lecturer guides
• Occupational learning materials (including qualifications and skills programmes)
• Delivery of materials directly to college campuses across the college’s catchment area.
• Ensuring materials are aligned with current DHET and QCTO curricula and standards.
• Provision of samples for approval, if required.
• Compliance with accreditation, quality assurance, and timely delivery standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Suppliers must be accredited booksellers and publishers with proven experience.
• Materials must meet curriculum standards and be of current editions, aligned with DHET and QCTO curricula.
• Occupational learning materials must be accredited with relevant SETAs or QCTO.
• Materials should be of appropriate NQF levels and quality standards.
• Delivery must be reliable and punctual, with direct delivery to campuses during specified hours.
• Samples of learning materials may be required for approval prior to final selection.
• Suppliers must have capacity for storage, management, and distribution of large volumes of materials.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidders should demonstrate:

• Experience in the supply and delivery of textbooks and learning materials, supported by references and appointment letters.
• Capacity to manage large-scale distribution logistics.
• Ability to ensure the quality and current editions of materials are delivered.
• Compliance with accreditation and certification standards.
• Capability to provide samples for approval and meet quality assurance criteria.
• Financial stability and good standing in supplier databases.
