Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider responsible for the supply, implementation, and support of end-user computing devices for Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS). The provider will also deliver all associated services such as asset tagging, software imaging, and ongoing support to ensure reliable ICT infrastructure that supports business continuity and operational efficiency.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Supply of various computing devices including laptops, desktops, and monitors tailored to different user profiles (standard users, specialists, technical staff, executives).
• Implementation activities such as asset tagging, software imaging, and delivery.
• Support and maintenance services, including warranty support, technical support, and supply chain management.
• Provision of associated peripherals and accessories.
• Delivery of all devices and services in accordance with technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards outlined in the bid documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Devices must meet specified hardware configurations, e.g., touchscreen laptops, high-spec laptops, technical laptops, all-in-one desktops, with specified RAM, storage, and connectivity features.
• Devices must be asset tagged with durable, tamper-resistant labels and pre-loaded with approved organizational software images.
• All supplied equipment must comply with specified technical standards, including warranty terms (minimum 3-year onsite warranty), delivery timeframes, and stock availability.
• Software imaging must be consistent, customizable, and verified before deployment.
• Support standards must ensure business continuity, including warranty, delivery, and supply chain resilience.
• Provision of peripherals such as monitors, with specified sizes and key features.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required from the service provider include:

• Technical expertise in end-user computing device supply, configuration, and support.
• Experience in asset tagging, software imaging, and device deployment.
• Capability to manage supply chain logistics and stock availability to meet specified lead times.
• Ability to provide comprehensive warranty and support services, including onsite support and quick response times (minimum 3-year NBD warranty).
• Proficiency in managing large-scale device rollouts, including project planning, logistics, and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of compliance with organizational standards, technical specifications, and legal requirements such as POPIA and procurement regulations.
• Experience in managing supply chain disruptions and ensuring business continuity through reliable ICT infrastructure.
