Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider responsible for the supply and delivery of occupational programme materials to the Oudtshoorn Campus of South Cape TVET College. The service provider is expected to provide equipment, consumables, and related services to support specific occupational courses, notably the Occupational Certificate for Computer Technician.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of equipment and consumables for the course: 101408-Occupational Certificate-Computer Technician.
• Supply of specific items such as electronic network tool kits, USB drives, network cables, connectors, boots, wireless routers/access points, and network cards.
• Delivery to the Oudtshoorn Campus at 48 Adderley Street, Oudtshoorn.
• Provision of related incidental services, including on-site assembly, commissioning, training, and maintenance support as required.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the supplied equipment include:

• 45-piece electronic network tool kits with carry cases.
• 16 GB USB 3.0 flash drives (or equivalent).
• 305M UTP CAT5e solid copper network cables.
• 200 CAT 5 RJ45 connectors and boots.
• Wireless Router/Access Point (e.g., Tenda N300 or equivalent).
• Gigabit PCI Express Network Cards (e.g., TP-Link or equivalent).

The items must meet the specified quality standards and be compatible with existing infrastructure.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder should demonstrate:

• Relevant experience and qualifications in supplying technical equipment and consumables for educational or training institutions.
• Ability to provide technical support, installation, and commissioning services.
• Capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe and adhere to technical specifications.
• Compliance with all technical standards and safety regulations applicable to the equipment supplied.
