Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver security guarding services at the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) located at the National Zoological Garden in Pretoria. The contract duration is three (3) years.

Scope

The scope involves providing comprehensive security guarding services to ensure the safety and security of SANBI’s facilities, staff, visitors, and assets at the specified location for a period of three years. The scope also includes adherence to specified service levels, milestones, and contractual conditions as outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Acceptance of the Special Conditions of Contract and Service Level Agreement.
• Provision of security personnel trained and equipped to meet SANBI’s standards.
• Compliance with draft Service Level Indicators and Milestones, with opportunities for comment and proposal during negotiations.
• Verification of service quality before and after contract award, including possible site inspections.
• Adherence to statutory and legal requirements related to security services and business conduct.
• Implementation of resources, procedures, and technological systems for effective service delivery.
• Declaration of honesty, fairness, transparency, and confidentiality in dealings with SANBI.
