Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to manufacture, test, supply, and deliver estimated quantities of master locks (padlocks) and keys for use on electrical and related equipment. The contract is to be executed on an 'as and when' required basis within the Distribution, Central East Cluster - Kwazulu Natal Operating Unit (KZN OU), for a period of thirty-six (36) months. The tender is open to all tenderers, including manufacturers, distributors, resellers, etc., and can be awarded in whole or part.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of padlocks and keyways over a 36-month period. It includes the manufacture, testing, and provision of these security devices to meet the specified quantities and requirements of the client, Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. The scope also involves subcontracting a minimum of 30% of the contract value to designated groups, such as townships, and ensuring compliance with local content and transformation objectives.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of master locks (padlocks) and keys suitable for electrical and related equipment.
• Manufacture and testing of the locks and keys to meet specified standards.
• Delivery of estimated quantities on an 'as and when' basis over 36 months.
