Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure the provision of accommodation for learners and trainees at Kriel Power Station over a period of five years (60 months), as and when required. The aim is to ensure suitable, compliant, and quality accommodation services to support the training and development programs at the station.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and management of accommodation facilities for learners and trainees at Kriel Power Station. The contract covers the provision of accommodation services over a five-year period, with the possibility of additional requirements as needed. The scope also includes compliance with specified quality management standards and submission of relevant documentation and evidence as part of the tender process.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements focus on adherence to quality management standards, specifically:

• Implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001 standards.
• Provision of objective evidence demonstrating a certified QMS by an ISO-accredited body, including valid certification and recognition by an international accreditation body.
• Alternatively, submission of documented evidence of a QMS that, while not certified, complies with ISO 9001 requirements, including a quality method statement, quality policy, and quality objectives approved by top management.
• Demonstration of the QMS in operation through documented roles, responsibilities, authorities, and control processes for externally provided processes, products, and services.
• Compliance with customer-specific requirements, including completion and signing of Form A.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required for tender submission include:

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards and certification processes.
• Ability to develop and implement documented quality management systems, including quality policies, objectives, and method statements.
• Experience in managing externally provided processes, products, and services, with the ability to monitor and evaluate external providers.
• Capability to prepare and submit comprehensive documentation demonstrating compliance with quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Understanding of the specific needs related to accommodation services for learners and trainees in a power station environment.
