Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure pest control services on an as-and-when required basis for Hendrina Power Station, for a period of 5 years. The goal is to ensure effective pest management aligned with Eskom’s operational and safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes providing pest control services at Hendrina Power Station on an as-and-when required basis. The services encompass pest management activities suitable for industrial and operational environments, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. The tender also covers related contractual and administrative requirements, including reporting, labelling, and delivery of materials.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of pest control management in line with technical specifications and standards.
• Demonstration of the company's ability to deliver pest control services, including references for similar projects.
• Qualified personnel with relevant experience, including supervisors with Matric certificates, pest control field experience, and necessary licenses (e.g., PCO license).
• Provision of a detailed project proposal plan and capacity to carry out the scope of work.
• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, including submission of safety plans, risk assessments, and environmental evaluations.
• Labelling and cataloguing of delivered materials as per Eskom specifications.
• Provision of necessary security, insurance, and contractual guarantees such as performance bonds.
• Adherence to Eskom’s contractual and procurement policies, including price adjustment mechanisms and local content requirements.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in pest control management within industrial or commercial environments, with references demonstrating successful project delivery.
• Qualified supervisors with Matric certificates and relevant pest control field experience (minimum 2 years).
• Competent SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) officers with relevant certifications (e.g., HIRA, Incident Investigation, ISO 45001).
• Computer literacy and ability to prepare project proposals, method statements, and safety documentation.
• Ownership of operational equipment, including vehicles with valid licenses and PPE suitable for pest control activities.
• Ability to meet technical, safety, and environmental standards, and to provide labelling, cataloguing, and reporting as required by Eskom.
