Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) plant mechanical spares "as and when required" for a period of five years at Kriel Power Station. The aim is to ensure continuous and reliable operation of the ESP systems by providing quality spare parts and associated services over the contract duration.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of mechanical spares for the Electrostatic Precipitator plant, including any related activities necessary for the maintenance and operation of the ESP system at Kriel Power Station. The scope also involves ensuring that all supplied items meet specified standards and are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Adherence to relevant industry standards, codes, and specifications as outlined in the interfacing documents.
• Provision of detailed method statements, safe working procedures, and quality control plans for manufacturing, refurbishment, and procurement activities.
• Implementation of quality assurance and control measures, including inspections, testing, and certification of supplied items.
• Proper identification, traceability, and preservation of materials and components.
• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, including contractor health and safety requirements.
• Effective communication channels between the supplier and Eskom for all quality-related issues.
• Management of records, documentation, and data books as per Eskom’s requirements.
• Post-delivery activities such as commissioning support, warranty management, and defect rectification.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified personnel with relevant technical expertise in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality management.
• Personnel experienced in handling electrostatic precipitator components and spare parts.
• Personnel capable of preparing and reviewing method statements, inspection reports, and quality control plans.
• Skilled in project management, communication, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
• Certified safety officers and compliance personnel familiar with contractor health and safety standards.
• Personnel with experience in supplier and subcontractor performance monitoring and management.
