Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a professional service provider to deliver Employee Wellness Services to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) for a period of 36 months. The services aim to support the development and implementation of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), promote social and economic development, and enhance the well-being of employees and their households.

Scope

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

• Provision of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling for 5 employees per month.
• Health screening services for 120 employees annually.
• Flu vaccination services for 30 employees annually.
• Monthly wellness newsletters and information sessions.
• Wellness interventions for 100 employees per quarter, including health and wellbeing days, stress management, gender-based violence, financial planning, and physical training.
• Incapacity management services for 1 employee per year.

Additional wellness services may be requested by SAQA on an as-needed basis, with quotations sourced from the successful service provider.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Deliver services in accordance with SAQA’s service level standards, ensuring 100% compliance.
• Provide quarterly reports on service delivery.
• Maintain quality standards as agreed upon with SAQA.
• Ensure timely delivery of services, with a maximum of 1 week for additional wellness service requests.
• Submit detailed cost schedules for each service component, including total costs for each year and the overall 3-year period.

All proposals must include proof of registration with the Employee Assistance Professional Association of South Africa (EAP-SA), reference letters from previous clients, and relevant B-BBEE certification.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in providing employee wellness and assistance services.
• Knowledge of health screening, vaccination, and wellness intervention programs.
• Ability to deliver wellness education and information sessions effectively.
• Capability to produce detailed reports and maintain compliance with service standards.
• Proficiency in managing multiple wellness initiatives simultaneously.
• Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including POPIA and B-BBEE requirements.
