Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider (SP) to supply and deliver fish feed to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE)/Marine Living Resources Fund (MLRF). The successful bidder will be responsible for providing specified quantities of fish feed, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting the department's aquaculture activities.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of various fish feeds, including tilapia starter, grower feeds, koi, and catfish feeds, with detailed specifications on weight and protein content.
• Delivery in two shipments of approximately equal weight within three weeks of notification, with a validity period of one year from the date of issuance.
• Provision of quotations on company letterhead, including brand, model, country of origin, and compliance with specifications.
• Adherence to delivery schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Fish feed must meet the detailed specifications provided, including weight per bag and total weight for each product.
• Delivery in two shipments, with notification from ATDC officials and delivery within three weeks of notification.
• Bidder must be a reliable fish feed manufacturer with a proven record in South Africa or have a binding relationship with a reliable manufacturer.
• All bids must be submitted on official forms, with supporting documentation such as tax clearance, company registration, and proof of accreditation.
• Compliance with the specified specifications and quality standards is mandatory.

Skills Requirements

The skills and capabilities required from bidders include:

• Proven experience and reliability as a fish feed manufacturer or authorized representative in South Africa.
• Ability to produce or supply fish feed that meets detailed technical specifications and quality standards.
