Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure catering services for a VIP breakfast event at Margate Airport, Kwa-Zulu Natal, scheduled for 6 December 2025 at 09:30 am. The service aims to provide a comprehensive breakfast experience for 30 delegates, including a variety of hot and cold foods, beverages, tableware, decor, and presentation standards aligned with five-star quality.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses:

• Provision of breakfast items, including hot and cold breakfast options, fresh fruit platters, yogurts, cereals, muffins, croissants, scones, and health breads.
• Supply of beverages such as tea, coffee, fruit juices, and bottled water.
• Provision of necessary tableware, cutlery, crockery, serviettes, toothpicks, salt and pepper containers.
• Decor arrangements including tablecloths, centrepieces, and chairs.
• Serving stations with appropriate presentation, delivery, and collection services.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the tender include:

• Provision of a tea station with a variety of teas, coffees, milk, sweeteners, and lemon slices.
• Serving a fresh fruit platter and assorted yogurts (200ml Woolworth's brand, 40 units).
• Hot breakfast options such as eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, and cold meats with cheese.
• Bakery items including muffins, croissants with fillings, scones with cheese, jam, and butter, and open health breads.
• Decor and table arrangements with damask tablecloths, crystal glassware, centrepieces, and comfortable chairs.
• All food and service items must be well presented, warm, and delivered on time, with prices inclusive of delivery and collection.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in catering for high-profile or VIP events, ensuring high standards of presentation and service.
• Ability to coordinate and deliver comprehensive catering services, including setup, serving, and cleanup.
• Proficiency in managing decor and presentation to meet the specified aesthetic standards.
