Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

  • The mast must conform to SANS 10225 standards for design and construction.
  • The mast shall carry six (9) luminaires, each with 400W LED floodlights, evenly spaced around the circumference.
  • Electrical supply shall include:
    • 6mm² x 3-core armoured cable feeding the mast.
    • A 50A double pole isolator at the supply entry.
    • 40A double pole isolator inside the mast.
    • Three 10A single pole circuit breakers.
    • Two 10A breakers for photocell and contactor coil.
    • One 25A contactor with 220V coil.
    • Feeding luminaires with 2.5mm² x 4-core plus earth cable to junction boxes.
  • The mast must include an earth bar, neutral bar, and mounting clips for circuit breakers and contactors.
  • A photocell mounted at a minimum of 4 meters above ground.
  • Installation of a 360-degree waterproof Wi-Fi camera connected to the security control room.
  • Concrete foundations protruding at least 200mm above ground with PVC sleeve pipe, adequately earthed with an earth spike.
  • All non-stainless steel parts must be hot-dip galvanized according to SANS 121, with no post-galvanizing welding, drilling, or bending.
  • Provision of certificates of compliance for installation and manufacturing standards.
