Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply maintenance materials necessary for the upkeep and operational needs of Gamalakhe Community Health Centre (CHC) within the KwaZulu-Natal Province. The aim is to ensure the availability of quality maintenance supplies, including window glass, plumbing materials, carpentry items, paints, and other related materials, to support the health facility's infrastructure and service delivery.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses:

• Supply and delivery of maintenance materials such as window glass, Perspex sheets, plumbing fixtures, carpentry hardware, paints, and related items.
• Delivery to specified locations including Ntabeni Clinic, Mvutshini Clinic, and Gamalakhe CHC.
• Provision of materials for various clinic needs, including window replacements, plumbing installations, carpentry works, and painting.
• Adherence to technical specifications and standards as outlined in the tender documents.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and statutory requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of materials that conform to SABS or SANS standards and specifications.
• Delivery of specified quantities of window glass (various sizes), Perspex sheets, plumbing fittings (e.g., Jojo tanks, pipes, tank stands), carpentry hardware (locks, hinges, tiles), and paints (roof rubber, oil-based paints).
• Delivery of materials to designated clinics and sites within the stipulated timeframes.
• Provision of proof of compliance with quality standards, including relevant certificates or approvals.
• Submission of updated Central Supplier Database (CSD) reports and tax clearance certificates.
• Adherence to the delivery schedule, with timely submission of invoices and documentation.
• Compliance with the Department’s procurement policies, including preference point allocations for Black-owned companies and other specific goals.
• Provision of detailed product specifications, including sizes, quantities, and brands where applicable.

All bidders must ensure that their submissions include the necessary documentation, such as proof of standards compliance, licensing, and registration, to meet the technical and administrative requirements of the tender.
