Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure servicing of air conditioning units at Msunduzi Bridge Clinic, ensuring all units are maintained, inspected, and repaired as necessary to ensure optimal operation and compliance with standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Servicing of air conditioners (both major and minor services) at specified locations within Msunduzi Clinic.
• Inspection, cleaning, and testing of units including refrigerant, electrical components, filters, and coils.
• Provision of detailed inspection reports and quotations for additional repairs if needed.
• Submission of all required documentation, including certifications and compliance proof.
• Optional spare parts and service facilities information within KwaZulu-Natal.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Inspection and testing of air conditioning units for noise, vibration, refrigerant leaks, insulation, and electrical components.
• Cleaning and calibration of sensors, coils, filters, and condensate drains.
• Provision of detailed after-service inspection reports for each unit.
• Guarantee of units against faulty materials and workmanship for 3 months post-servicing.
• Compliance with specified standards, including SABS approval for materials.
• Submission of all necessary certifications such as CIDB registration, Good Standing with Department of Labour, SARACCA/SAIRAC registration, and Gas Practitioner certification.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Qualified refrigeration technicians with Gas Practitioner SAQCC Gas certification.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining air conditioning units, particularly in healthcare or similar environments.
• Ability to provide detailed inspection reports and quotations for repairs.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and compliance requirements.
• Capacity to supply spare parts and maintenance facilities within KwaZulu-Natal.
