Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver 25% (m/m) ammonium hydroxide to Rand Water’s Zwartkopjes, Eikenhof, Palmiet, and Mapleton Booster Pumping Stations for a period of twenty (20) years. The aim is to ensure a reliable, high-quality supply of ammonium hydroxide to support water treatment processes over the contract duration.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of ammonium hydroxide to four specified pumping stations (Zwartkopjes, Eikenhof, Palmiet, Mapleton).
• Delivery over a twenty-year period, with estimated annual quantities:
  • Zwartkopjes: 520 tons/year
  • Eikenhof: 1100 tons/year
  • Palmiet: 1530 tons/year
  • Mapleton: 680 tons/year
• Provision of necessary transportation, storage, and handling arrangements.
• Compliance with technical, safety, and quality standards specified in the tender documentation.
• Potential inclusion of additional plants during the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Concentration: 25% (m/m) ammonium hydroxide.
• Product must meet standards such as SANS 52122:2007 or EN 12122:2005.
