Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage qualified firms to conduct inspection and reporting on all electrical distribution boards within the specified site. Additionally, the tender aims to ensure compliance with safety standards by requiring the submission of a comprehensive safety file. The successful bidder will also be responsible for providing relevant documentation and demonstrating experience in electrical work, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Inspection and reporting on all electrical distribution boards.
• Preparation and submission of a safety file for the electrical safety compliance.
• Site visit and attendance at a compulsory briefing session.
• Provision of a valid safety file, either charged or as a line item with R0,00 if not charged.

The scope is limited to a once-off service, with specific emphasis on safety documentation and electrical inspection.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for tenderers include:

• Valid Trade Test Certificate and Wireman license for issuing a Certificate of Compliance (COC).
• Registration with the Electrical Contractors Association South Africa (ECSA) and in good standing.
• CIDB contractor grading of 1EB/1EP or higher (Buildings or Infrastructure).
• Experience demonstrated through reference letters on similar projects.
• Submission of a valid lease agreement or municipal account (not older than 3 months).
• Completion of MBD forms and submission of company registration documents, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, and proof of CSD registration.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from tenderers include:

• Registered with ECSA and in good standing.
• Experience in electrical inspection and safety documentation.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive safety files and reports.
