Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure catering services for 150 people scheduled for Friday, 16th January 2026. The supplier is expected to provide a variety of food platters and beverages in accordance with the specifications outlined in the tender documents.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of assorted meaty platters, cheese grillers, spring rolls, samosas, chicken nuggets, mini meatballs, and beverages (100% juice in highball glasses). The catering must serve 150 people and include side plates, forks, serviettes, and highball glasses with juice. All items should be prepared and delivered as specified, ensuring quality and compliance with the tender requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of large platters serving 20 people each, including BBQ chicken pieces, boerewors bites, cheese grillers, spring rolls, samosas, chicken nuggets, and mini meatballs.
• Food must be prepared fresh, deep-fried, grilled, or marinated as specified, with appropriate portion sizes.
• Delivery of all items in accordance with the expected quantities and specifications, including side plates, forks, serviettes, and highball glasses with juice.
• Items must be itemized with detailed price/cost breakdowns and include VAT where applicable.
• The total RFQ amount must not exceed R300,000.00.
• All quotations must adhere to the specifications, be on company letterhead, and submitted electronically.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in catering for large events, specifically for 150+ attendees.
• Ability to prepare and deliver a variety of food items as per the specifications, ensuring quality and hygiene standards.
• Competence in food presentation, portion control, and timely delivery.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance with municipal health standards.
• Capability to provide all necessary serving utensils, plates, forks, serviettes, and glasses.
• Completion of all mandatory forms and documentation, including MBD forms, tax compliance, B-BBEE verification, and CSD registration.
• Ability to meet the financial and logistical requirements within the specified budget and timeframe.
