Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver comprehensive cleaning, hygiene, pest control, and related services across specified departmental buildings for a period of thirty-six (36) months. The goal is to ensure a clean, hygienic, and pest-free environment that meets the standards and requirements of the Limpopo Provincial Government's Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements & Traditional Affairs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of cleaning services for eight (8) departmental buildings, including offices, parking areas, and other facilities.
• Delivery of hygiene services such as installation, maintenance, and replenishment of sanitary consumables and equipment.
• Implementation of pest control measures, including fumigation and rodent treatment, across all specified buildings.
• Supply, installation, maintenance, and replenishment of hygiene equipment (e.g., soap dispensers, air fresheners, waste bins).
• Adherence to health, safety, and legislative standards during service delivery.
• Regular monitoring, reporting, and compliance with service level agreements over the contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Experience in providing cleaning and hygiene services, demonstrated through relevant contracts and project references.
• Provision of suitable, SABS-approved cleaning and hygiene equipment, including vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and disinfectant dispensers.
• Use of environmentally friendly and non-harmful consumables and chemicals.
• Qualified and trained personnel equipped with uniforms and proper identification.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993.
• Implementation of pest control measures, including quarterly fumigation and weekly rodent baiting.
• Provision of necessary insurance, licensing, and accreditation certificates.
• Adherence to specified cleaning frequencies and standards for floors, restrooms, offices, and external areas.
• Participation in scheduled meetings and reporting as per contractual obligations.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must possess:

• Proven expertise in cleaning, hygiene, and pest control services, supported by relevant experience and references.
• Technical proficiency in operating and maintaining cleaning and hygiene equipment.
• Qualified personnel with training in occupational health and safety, cleaning procedures, and customer service.
• Ability to manage and monitor service delivery effectively, including reporting and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation, including the Labour Relations Act, Minimum Wage Act, and environmental standards.
• Capacity to provide environmentally safe consumables and chemicals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate scheduled meetings and respond to ad-hoc requests.
