The primary objective of this tender is to appoint qualified service providers to deliver electrical services at Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) for a period of 2 years.   • Electrical work at multiple geographic areas within TMNP, such as Kommetjie to Simon’s Town, Cape Point, Newlands Fire Base, Cecilia, Boulders, Olifantsbos, Buffelsfontein, Klaasjagersberg, Slangkop Tented Camp, Rhodes Memorial, Kloofnek offices, Tokai Office precinct, Silvermine, Oudekraal Picnic site, Hout Bay, Orangekloof, back table accommodation, and hiking huts.
  • Provision of pricing schedules for supply and installation of electrical materials, call-out fees, labor rates, and transport costs.
  • Work will be on an “as and when required” basis, with no retainer payments.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

  • Provision of electrical maintenance, repairs, and emergency services across designated park areas.
  • Pricing of materials, labor, and call-out fees for various electrical works.
  • Compliance with health, safety, environmental management, and code of conduct standards as specified in annexures.
  • Adherence to SANParks’ health and safety specifications, environmental management plans, and safety protocols.

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Registration and accreditation as an electrical contractor with the Department of Labour and/or Electrical Contractor Association of South Africa (ECA(SA)).
  • CIDB contractor grading designation of at least 2 EB or higher, or capable of registration prior to evaluation.
  • Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) of National Treasury.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation projects, supported by completion letters indicating scope, duration, and successful completion.
  • Compliance with tax obligations, including submission of tax clearance certificates or TCS certificates.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to working in a protected environment.
  • Ability to provide detailed pricing schedules, including hourly rates, material costs, and call-out fees.
