Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure after-hours taxi services to support clinical staff at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital for a period of 12 months. The service aims to ensure safe and reliable transportation for staff working outside regular hours.

Scope

The scope includes providing meter taxi services that facilitate staff transportation from their destinations to the hospital and vice versa. The services are to be rendered over a 12-month contract, with billing based on distance traveled (per kilometer) and trips (minimum charge for trips less than 10 km). The service must comply with specified vehicle standards and registration requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of meter taxi services for staff transportation during after-hours.
• Vehicles must be registered with the Department of Transport and have a traceable registered number.
• Vehicles must be registered with the Meter Taxi Association.
• Display of vehicle details, driver contact information, and logo visibly to clients.
• Use of roof lights when necessary, and vehicles must be roadworthy with valid certificates.
• Billing based on distance traveled (per km) and minimum charges for trips under 10 km.
• Compliance with all relevant safety, registration, and operational standards as specified in the specifications template.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

• Ability to supply reliable and safe transportation services consistently over the contract period.
• Experience in operating meter taxi services with registered and roadworthy vehicles.
