Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 10,000 units of Liquid Hand Soap (500ml) for Addington Hospital, ensuring the supply of quality hand hygiene products that meet specified standards and regulations.

Scope

The scope includes the submission of compliant quotations for the supply of Liquid Hand Soap (500ml), including providing samples, safety data sheets, and relevant documentation. The procurement process encompasses evaluation of administrative compliance, technical specifications, capacity to deliver, and adherence to preference points system, culminating in the award of a contract to a suitable supplier.

Technical Requirements

• The hand soap must be supplied in 500ml recyclable plastic containers that are durable, leak-proof, with waterproof labels indicating product details, safety data, dilution, and usage instructions.
• The product must be suitable for hospital, medical, and office environments.
• The soap must meet the latest SANS specification 2288 TYPE 3-1221-1:2012.
• The product must be non-volatile, non-irritating to mucous membranes and skin, biodegradable, and free from antimicrobial agents.
• The bottle must have a long sprout pump action top (minimum 6cm length) and be compatible with wall-mounted dispensers.
• Samples of the product must be submitted before or on the closing date for evaluation.
• Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) must be included, complying with NRCS regulations.

Skills and Documentation Requirements

• Completion and submission of the official quotation forms, including the Price Page, Preference Points Claim Form (SBD 6.1), and Bidder’s Disclosure (SBD4).
• Provision of a valid VAT registration number (if applicable), CSD registration, and a BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Submission of a sample product for evaluation, along with safety data sheets and proof of SANS compliance.
• Proof of the ability to deliver the specified quantity within the contractual timeframe.
• Completion of the declaration of interest and compliance with the general and special conditions of contract.
• Adherence to the procurement process, including submitting quotations in sealed envelopes, and attending any compulsory site inspections or briefing sessions if applicable.
