Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure single seater recliner couches suitable for hospital use at Addington Hospital, specifically for pediatric ward 13A. The aim is to provide comfortable, durable, and functional seating that meets health and safety standards, supports patient care, and enhances the hospital environment.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of twenty (20) heavy-duty single seater recliner couches designed for pediatric use. The items must comply with specified technical and quality standards, be delivered to Addington Hospital, and include necessary documentation, samples, and warranties. The procurement also involves adherence to specified specifications, standards, and evaluation criteria as detailed in the tender documents.

• Steel legs or wheels with brakes for mobility and stability.
• Maximum weight capacity of 120-180kg.
• Compact design suitable for small spaces, for day and night use.
• Warranty coverage of 4 years for frame and workmanship.
• High backrest for ergonomic support, dimensions: width 700-900mm, depth 900-1000mm, height 950-1100mm, seat height approximately 450mm.
• Easy assembly with manual available.

Skills Requirements

• Ability to produce samples and provide detailed specifications, including compliance with SANS and IPC standards.
• Capability to deliver within the specified timeframe and adhere to quality standards.
• Provision of technical documentation, warranty certificates, and full CSD report.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, fire retardant standards, and hospital environment requirements.
• Ability to provide after-sales support, including maintenance and warranty services.
