Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver 2,000 MMC (Male Medical Circumcision) Hygiene Packs to the Ilembe District Office, in accordance with specified standards and specifications. The packs are intended for patient care related to male circumcision procedures, aiming to support health service delivery and HIV transmission reduction efforts.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of 2,000 MMC hygiene packs as detailed in the specifications. The packs include various items such as containers, face cloths, soap, belts, gauze, and carry bags, all conforming to the specified standards and quality requirements. Delivery is to be made to the Ilembe District Office within the contractual timeframe, with all items meeting the attached detailed specifications.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and delivery of 2,000 MMC hygiene packs as per attached specifications.
• Items must meet the detailed specifications, including size, material, and quality standards (e.g., cotton face cloth, antimicrobial soap, polyester carry bags with DOH logo).
• Items must conform to the specified quality standards and be compliant with SABS or SANS approval where applicable.
• All items should be packed securely to prevent damage during transit and delivery.
• Delivery must be completed within the agreed timeframe, with documentation as specified.
• Samples of the items may be required for approval prior to final delivery.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying medical or hygiene products, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards as specified in the tender documentation.
• Capacity to deliver large quantities within tight deadlines and to the specified location.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and compliance with government procurement policies, including BBBEE requirements.
• Capability to provide necessary documentation such as BBBEE certificates, sample submissions, and compliance certificates.
• Effective logistics and supply chain management skills to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of sensitive items.
